I was in Japan for five days, as my paternal grandmother passed away. Unfortunately I did not make it to the funeral but managed to go to her house and said good-bye. She was an amazing woman and I have many many nice memories of her. I wish I had more time to talk with her when she was well.
May she rest in peace, I am sure that she has now re-joined my grandfather on the other side and is watching over us.

I'm sorry to hear about this. You used to talk very fondly of your grandmother... It is always hard being away from your family but more in times like these. At least you are a little bit closer to Japan now and you could make the trip. Big hugs from Canada.
