How to survive Mushoku time

I was a bit concerned about how I would feel upon coming back here. My life was based on the job (really busy one) which is not there any more, so I felt like I was coming back to an empty hole where there is not much to do and being alone etc, especially because I was always with my family past one month in Japan. However, apart from the apartment being really cold without any heaters, I am feeling rather happy. I almost forgot that I have some really good friends, some of who told me how much they missed me (that is so sweet!!). I have made tentative plans for the next little while to keep me sane in my chomage period, and I will note them, so hopefully this will make me accountable to what I say that I will do :)
  • Certainly main focus is job applications, I will try to send one application a day contingent on the availability of postes that I would like to have.
  • I will finally study French more seriously. This has been my new year resolution for some years, but this may be the last chance to do that which may have impact on my future job possibilities.
  • Go to yoga as often as possible. (sadly, my favorite yoga centre will shut down at the end of February- this is due to the long power cut in the country- too expensive to operate- sigh, I bought 10 classes package and the teacher gave me a free pass!)
  • I will invite friends over once a week for dinner/ lunch. This will force me to cook and eat healthy. I really like to make my diet more in line with the principle of microbiotics.
  • Keep my social life active as usual!

These should do at least until the end of February and I will play it by ear.
