I am doing better this year with my new years resolutions. I have started tackling another item on the list of resolution, which is to do meditation.
Conveniently, there happened to be a Buddhist meditation centre in my neighborhood and they have a group twice a week for an hour. I went to the class for the first time yesterday. I have never tried this before, but basically it is to sit still (yes obviously) and focus on ONLY breath. We are supposed to not think about anything. This is quite hard. Different thoughts come and go and so difficult to just let go these clatters in my head. I guess if I keep trying and training myself, I will be more or less limit certain thoughts. I hope to learn more about it by going to the group. I think it is really important to improve our mind and try to avoid or reduce negative feelings and thoughts. On a way to inner happiness and enlightenment!! :)
