On the way back from Awaji Island, (where my parents and we enjoyed natural hot spring onsen) we made a detour to visit an UNESCO world heritage, Himeji castle. It's known for the beautiful white wall. It was under refurbishing, so I don't have a photo of the castle itself. Apparently, the refurbishing process takes as long as six years! There were many nice details of the architecture.
It was a rainy and cold day.
