Since the last entry, we have been back to Japan and already back in YGN.
We spent seven weeks in Kyoto. Probably the longest stay in the past several years. It was really nice. I got to spend lots of quality time with my family, especially my two sisters whom I don't get to see much when I go home for a short period. Most importantly, our little TR got to know his grandparents and two aunts better. M.FR took Japanese lessons and went on the 10 day meditation retreat (the same one that I did back in 2012.) We went to see some machiya houses (as now a remote possibility of purchasing one.) I saw many friends from childhood and high school, university times. Lots of going to a neighbourhood park and a child play centre, picnic at the Imperial Palace Park, zoo and Kyoto Botanical Garden. Our 7 weeks was just filled with different things, and it was very productive with not very productive activities.
It made us want to live in Japan. Nice weather, great food, lots of fun activities for kids etc. Now we are back in the midst of monsoon. I am in a in-between waiting period and missing Japan a bit. I am focusing on TR and taking him to as many play groups as possible before I go back to work.
